From wikipedia:

Moloch (representing Semitic מלך m-l-, a Semitic root meaning “king”)—also rendered as Molech, Molekh, Molok, Molek, Molock, or Moloc—is the name of an ancient Ammonite god.[1] Moloch worship was practiced by the Canaanites, Phoenician and related cultures in North Africa and the Levant.

As a god worshipped by the Phoenicians and Canaanites, Moloch had associations with a particular kind of propitiatorychild sacrifice by parents. Moloch figures in the Book of Deuteronomy and in the Book of Leviticus as a form of idolatry (Leviticus 18:21: “And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Moloch”). In the Hebrew Bible, Gehenna was initially where apostate Israelites and followers of various Baalim and Caananite gods, including Moloch, sacrificed their children by fire (2 Chr. 28:3, 33:6; Jer. 7:31, 19:2–6).

Are the Mormons modern day Moloch worshipers?

The Mormon faith is based on the writings of Joseph Smith, which depict additional stories of Christ in the new world that do not appear in the bible.

You can view a secretly recorded video of the Mormon secret temple ceremony here:

Mormons believe that people who died without accepting the mormon faith can be baptized in to their faith and taught the secret rituals necessary to become a God of their own world.

During this ceremony, adults stand in for the dead to learn the secret words and passwords to become a God and are taught:

  1. There are many “Gods” and two Gods were sent from the planet Kolob and instructed to create the Earth and human beings “as we have made other worlds.”
  2. The “Gods” are not omniscient but must be told what occurs on Earth.
  3. Satan is the brother of Jesus and instructs the initiates to put on an Apron and the initiates follow his command and don this attire
  4. Secret handshakes and passwords are needed after death to become a God of your own world.

While this transpires, in the basement of the Temple mormon children are baptized in proxy for the dead. Remember the picture of Moloch above, and consider these pictures of the temple baptism for the dead ceremony:
